Real Men

Real Men
If you say you’re a man, come and see what I’ve done
I am a man.
With my small hands and weak voice,
I still can.
I showed the world right from wrong,
I was hit many times, but stayed strong.
My brother died in front of me,
But I did not cry.
I could have, but didn’t have the chance.
Before I ran I looked at him in a glance,
And kissed his forehead,
I told him to meet me in paradise on a silk bed.
He was smiling because he was dead.
He knew that his blood wouldn’t be in vain,
That the world would speak up in disdain,
But no one did.
And I tried but my voice was weak, I’m just a kid.
I am a man.
I protect you and fight for you,
You sit between your TV and PS2.
I take the blows that you should take,
I protect you in your sleep, until you wake.
I am a man.
I lie under rubble of cement and bricks.
I am a child.
I died in Lebanon in 2006.

Steadfast

Oh yes, no one said it’s going to be easy
You’re right, it breaks their hearts,
It brings them apart,
Just to see that you’re right.
Your dreams are too high for them,
They can’t reach them, so they kill you.
But you’re too strong.
Steadfast don’t flee.
Fight and stay, it’s your say.
It’s your world and it’s your way.
It’s the very makeup of your destiny.
No matter what they do, stay strong.
It’s not wrong to be right, it’s not right to be wrong.
Just keep your vision in sight,
Keep it tight, keep it right.
One day you’ll look back and say,
“I’m glad they laughed.”
Now they’re stuck in their world of no hope,
With no dream, with their backs against the ropes.
And from the top you look and smile,
It was hard but worth the while.
Worth the sweat, worth the tears,
Worth all the gone years.
Yes you made it and you’re strong.
I wish I could be like you…

~ With the greeting that's been holding this world together I greet you. Assalamu 3alaikom wa Ra7matollahi wa Barakato.
~~ They say that laws govern everything. It is true in a sense; there are laws of motion, laws of economics, and even laws of war. But I disagree. They missed one thing that does not function except without laws: Dreams. Dream as you wish for it is a way to relive the past and see the future. Dream as you like, because yesterday's dreams are today's reality. Maybe what was once your dream would be the vision of someone else; maybe if you don't dream, there would be no tomorrow. I'm sorry, there is one rule for dreaming, if you don't follow it, you shouldn't dream because you will be wasting your time. That rule says that when you dream you have to let your dreams reach the sky, so when they fall, they'll still be up there. Your dreams dont have to be complex, they just have to be heart-felt. They have to reflect you, they have to be of your make. As for me, my dreams reflect my make, I am of simple make...
